Storage Vessel and Plant Structure Plate – Kuwait
Kuwait · Power & Energy
Overview
Stancor Special Steel supplied Stantuf 460 and Stantuf 500 in 16 mm & 25 mm for storage vessel shells and power plant structural members in Kuwait. Plate was rolled, quenched and tempered to Stancor specification at our contracted OEM mills and released against EN 10204 3.1 certificates.
The challenge
The customer needed storage vessel shells and power plant structural members that would hold tolerance through cutting and forming, arrive on a fixed fabrication slot, and be fully traceable to a heat number — with no re-treatment required after welding.
What we did
We released 380 MT of Stantuf 460 and Stantuf 500 in 16 mm & 25 mm, shot blasted and primed, cut to the fabricator's nest, and shipped against the build programme with mill test certificates, hardness or mechanical reports and — where applicable — firing-test records.
